Travel behind a Pacific on the 'Réseau des Bains de Mer' !

The superb 231.K.8, restored and operated by the association MFPN (Matériel Ferroviaire Patrimoine National), will be exhibited in steam over the three days of the 10^th 'Fête de la Vapeur'.  On the occasion of the ‘Festival Off’ on Friday 15^th April, and for the first time in the history of the ‘Réseau des Bains de Mer’, the locomotive will even be hauling a rake of passenger carriages in public service !

Built in 1912 by Henschel & Sohn in Kassel (Germany) for the PLM (Paris, Lyon, Marseille railway company), she finished her career in 1971 at Calais.  She, therefore, regularly passed through the station at Noyelles-sur-Mer.  Rescued in 1975 by FACS (Fédération des Amis des Chemins de fer Secondaires), she was put back into service by the MFPN in 1991 after a complete overhaul.
